While many are use to new Mandarin Oriental hotel openings in cities like Las Vegas and New York, prepare yourself for an opening that will outshine most any other. Perhaps the most anticipated opening of the decade in Paris comes along a buzzing strip of rue Saint Honore where Mandarin Oriental Paris makes its home. In the center of the city's most fashionable shopping district, the Mandarin Oriental, Paris has recruited the most elite of design names to oversee construction of this pedigree property. Patrick Jouin, who designed Jules Verne and Alain Ducasse at Plaza Athenee, pens most the restaurant and bar spaces including signature eatery Sur Measure by 2-star Michelin chef Thierry Marx. The hotel also features casual eatery Camellia and Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop both by Thierry Marx. An grand in-house spa offers an indoor pool lined in architectural cabanas with hammam chaser and well-equipped fitness center.
